Prison Ministry and Prisoner Reentry

To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house” (Isaiah 42: 7).

Calvary Chapel Ocean Gateway has over the years had a ministry to Eastern Correctional Institution (ECI), a medium security state prison for men located in Westover, Maryland.

There are some 3400 men at this facility, all in need of Christ.  These are the husbands, brothers, fathers, uncles, and sons of Maryland families.  Some will be imprisoned for life.

The greatest concerns for the men about to be released are employment and affordable housing.  At present, however, there is no Christian re-entry program on the Eastern Shore to address these concerns.
